Project scope:
The project involved the expansion of the existing BurJuman Centre in Dubai. Work included the construction of a retail podium with a mezzanine floor and four levels, a 26-storey residential apartment building, a 23-storey hotel building, and a 30-storey office tower. Also included was the internal fit-out of apartments and the office tower.
The 26-storey BurJuman Residence has 80 duplexes, 10 town-houses, and five penthouses. The 23-storey hotel BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana has 80 classic one bedroom suites, 48 deluxe one bedroom suites, 16 premium one bedroom suites, three townhouses, and one penthouse. The 30-storey BurJuman Business Tower has a built-up area of 37,000 square metres.
The retail podium and floors increased the retail floor space of the mall by 500,000 square metres, to reach a total of 800,000 square metres. We were also responsible for the coordination of the post tensioning, special steel roof features, curtain walling system, external facade cladding, facade cleaning systems, stone cladding, waterproofing, as well as the installation of 50 lifts and 26 escalators.
